Train timetables changes for Tallinn-Rakvere trains

Some changes will be implemented in the rail timetable for services to and from Rakvere due to repair work being carried out on the railway.

Between 19-24 October temporary changes are being implemented in the rail timetable for services to and from Rakvere. On some days it will be necessary to use replacement buses on the section between Tapa and Rakvere.

‘Due to the repair work that is required on this section of the line between Tapa and Rakvere, it will be necessary to partially close it next week, which means that passengers who are travelling to or from Rakvere will be required to use replacement buses for some journeys,’ said Ronnie Kongo, sales and development manager at Elron.

‘The changes concern journeys from Tallinn to Rakvere on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, in the case of which passengers will have to continue their journey by bus from Tapa. In the case of Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning journeys from Rakvere to Tallinn, the replacement bus must be taken to travel from Rakvere to Tapa.’  

Stops for the replacement buses will be marked out with boards that are in Elron’s colours. The locations of the stops and information about changes to the timetable can also be found on the Elron website and on the information boards on the platforms.
